| My time on Xanga more or less has come to an end. I’ve watched the footprints fade from site to site as the hundreds changed to dozens. Silence has now fallen over the once fertile fields that my thoughts called home. Ironically, I have thought and lived far better upon leaving Xanga. Perhaps personal reflection should stay just that; personal. My thoughts of days gone by have one by one been deleted. I have found that those who came before me can phrase my conculsions far more eloquently. I leave you with a few followed by some final thoughts: | "The struggle itself toward the heights is enough to fill a man's heart." -Albert Camus
General culture today, as in great periods of the past, demands musical literacy for all.
-Friedrich Schorr
As to whatever may depend on enterprise, we need not fear to be outdone by any people on Earth. It may almost be said that enterprise is our element.
-Alexander Hamilton.
Power is given only to him who dares to stoop and take it.
-Fyodor Dostoyevsky |
And of course: What is good? All that heightens the feeling of power in man, the will to power, power itself. What is bad? All that is born of weakness. What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome. - Friedrich Nietzsche Never stop thinking, never stop searching, and never forget why you are where you are today. Adieu. |
